Tian Bao Szechuan Kitchen serves Sichuan cuisine in a classic Oriental setting given a quirky twist with dim sum baskets adorning the ceiling of the main dining room.
To whet your appetite, begin the meal with choices from the good array of side dishes and dim sum, such as the wanton in chilli sauce or the mini baked bun with premium black sugar filling. The nourishing chicken soup with matsutake mushrooms is also recommended to complement the spicy and robust flavours typical of Szechuan cuisine. The latter is embodied in one of its signature dishes: Szechuan wok-fried chicken cubes with cut chilli.
Don’t let the multitude of chilli pieces put you off, as the delectable morsels of chicken are mildly spiced and very well-seasoned. Should you crave something sweet after the meal, go for the purple patterned pau with golden salted egg sauce or the golden glutinous rice pear with sweet bean paste.
