2018 Review
Situated on the 55th and 56th floor of Ion Orchard, Luke Mangan’s Salt grill and Sky bar never fails to impress with its modern Australian fare tinged with Asian influences. Featuring floor-to-ceiling windows with a stunning view of the city skyline, this classy establishment makes for a romantic dining destination.
Start with tuna tartare marinated in yuzu-garlic soy on crisp fish skin and half a dozen oysters dressed in spicy Thai-style nam jim sauce. Entrées are inventive—savour the Sydney crab omelette in miso mustard broth with enoki mushroom, sesame and herb; or try the prized Westholme Queensland scotch steak with zucchini, bacon, parmesan and horseradish cream. Other notable favourites include Kurobuta pork with Chinesecabbage and roasted pear, and grilled barramundi fillet withtempura prawn.
