That Bedrock Bar & Grill has remained a popular steakhouse since it opened in 2008 speaks volumes of its consistently good quality and service. In keeping with the classic steakhouse zeitgeist, its interiors are handsomely appointed in leather and wood, with tables spaced well apart to ensure privacy for diners.
Kick start a meal here with unctuous bone marrow served with slices of toasted bread to mop up all that indulgent flavour. Follow up with a ribeye cap steak, which never disappoints. It is served on a cast iron skillet with a punchy black pepper sauce. For a more luxurious option, choose the USDA Prime fillet steak and then ask for it to be topped with a nugget of foie gras.
If visiting with a group of at least three people, order the wagyu tomahawk instead. It is an impressive hunk of meat imbued with excellent flavour. Bedrock was one of the first restaurants in Singapore to serve this cut, and it remains one of the best places to enjoy a tomahawk in the city. If stomach space permits, be sure to order several side dishes,including the poached egg creamed spinach, and sweet potatoes with bacon and blue cheese.
A meal here is always a satisfying affair, with excellent food and equally top-notch service.
